Client Scenario

• Lot of customizations in MFGPro (Sealing) and QAD 2013 EE (Fluid) to support their business. Need to migrate their customization and data to new QAD.
• All the customer invoice prints, purchase order prints are developed in MFGPro using Progress program since MFGPro doesn’t have the QRF (QAD Reporting Framework) functionality. Which needs to be developed in new QAD with QRF.
• QAD 2013 EE version of Invoice prints should be migrated to QAD 2022 AUX with all custom validations they had in current version.
• Label prints are customized in current versions of QAD which needs to be migrated to new version.
• GRN and Shipments process has lot of validations in different programs (Sales Order Shipments for Sealing and Pre-Shipper/Shipper Workbench for Fluid) which needs to be combined on Pre-Shipper/Shipper Workbench program of new version of QAD.
• ASN programs needs to be migrated to new version along with customer specific data maintenance.
• Backflush activity has been done through label scanning custom programs (Auto backflush) which need to be migrated into the new version. Since the new version of QAD doesn’t have the Backflush program entire label scanning customization has been modified based on a different program that does the same backflush activity.

Approach

• New QRF programs developed in the QAD 2022 AUX to print the sealing business invoices, with all the custom validation they have had in MFGPro.
• Current invoice prints from QAD 2013 EE has been successfully migrated to the new version with all the customer validations.
• ASN programs are migrated to the new version of QAD along with customer specific data and validations.
• Label print programs are modified based on the new plant setups and successfully printed the label in the new version of QAD.
• Auto backflush functionality has been redesigned as per the new QAD version for new menu with existing validations to avoid wrong production booking.
• Combined different shipment and GRN customizations (Sealing and Fluid) on to new QAD GRN and Shipment processes.

Outcomes Delivered

• Helped Customer to successfully migrate both of their business process with all the custom validations into the new version of QAD.
• Helped Customer in cleansing their existing data before migrating it to new version of QAD.
• Ensured all the programs are deployed in the new environment using QAD’s tool and guidelines.
• Developed and Migrated all their Customer Invoice Prints and Purchase Order Prints in short period of time without compromising any of their previous validation.
