Client Scenario

• 15 + interfaces which are unstable requiring constant monitoring.
• Automation solution has lot of issues and missing important functionality. User had to wait for the Scan gun to power down for reset and then continue with the task.
• Sales / Purchase / Master data has lot of impacts due to changes in data setup without any tracking of the changes.
• Issue in inventory Management due to manually updating the Expiry Date of receiving Items.

Approach

• Monitored the Interfaces for recurring issues record the issue details and along with solution in KEDB. Made changes to the existing interface for required functionality.
• Enhance the AS programs by adding required functionalities. Fix the back button issue by adding a return point when error occurs.
• Track key functionality change by enabling the Audit trail. Created user friendly browses that enabled tracking and information accessibility simple.
• Implemented automatic Expiry date update when receiving inventory through ASN by making changes to EDI transformation program as well.

Outcomes Delivered

• Stable interfaces which did not require regular monitoring.
• Users need not wait for the Scan gun to power down when an error occurred.
• Enabled Audit module that helped in traceability.
• Enabled automatic update of Expiry date with no manual intervention which played a major role in inventory management.
